Kiwi Treasures Early Learning Centre Tauranga is a place of care and education, where children play and learn alongside peers and friends. With aroha and kindness, Kaiako support children’s learning by forming trusting whanaungatanga relationships through respectful and reciprocal interactions.
Recognising Te Tiriti o Waitangi as a partnership for all people of Aotearoa New Zealand, we acknowledge each child as a unique and important individual by promoting an inclusive learning environment. All families/whānau cultures and beliefs are acknowledged and valued within the Centre. We provide a programme that ensures all children are immersed in the knowledge and understanding of Māori culture by integrating Te Reo and tikanga practices within our daily programme.
We understand that children develop at their own pace and by providing unique play opportunities we support tamariki to choose their own experiences and to reflect on their own learning.
We provide an environment that supports all children to learn holistically and where the importance of spontaneous play, fun and laughter is recognised. We affirm children as individuals – for self-confidence, self-resilience, self-reliance and independence.
By creating a calm and caring environment that empowers tamariki, kaiako and whānau to learn together as a community we support children to grow as competent confident learners.
